Himara keeps your training so you can see it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and you can delete everything from inside the app.
Who we are
Himara is a training log for people who lift, available as an app and at app.himarafit.com. When this page says "we", it means the people who build Himara. Write to us at himarallc@gmail.com.
What we store, and why
- Your account. Your email address, the name you choose, and a profile photo if you add one. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email address. We use these to sign you in and to show your name to people you choose to train with.
- Your training. Workouts, sets, weights and reps, routines, plans, personal records, body weight, and any notes or pain flags you log. This is the app: we store it so you can see your progress on any device.
- Photos and clips you add. Exercise photos, workout photos, and set videos you record, including their sound. We store them so you, and a coach you choose, can see them.
- Coaching. If you work with a coach in Himara, the messages, check-ins and comments between you are stored so both of you can read them. Your coach sees the training you share with them.
- Your gym. The gym and city you pick, so we can show what your gym has.
- Feedback. What you send us from the feedback button, with any photos, so we can fix what you report.
- Crash reports and app usage. When the phone app crashes, it sends a report about the crash and your device. The app also records which screens and features are used. We use this to find bugs and to see what to improve. The web version does not send these.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications on your phone, we store a device token so we can send them.
Apple Health
If you allow it on iPhone, Himara reads your heart rate during workouts you log, and saves your finished workouts to Apple Health. You choose this in the Health app and can turn it off there at any time. We never use health data for advertising and never sell or share it with data brokers.
Voice
If you say a set out loud ("135 for 8"), your phone's speech recognition turns it into numbers. Depending on your phone, Apple or Google may process that audio. Himara keeps only the numbers.
On the web
The web version stores your sign-in session and any changes that are waiting to sync in your browser's storage on your device. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who helps us run Himara
These services process data for us, only to run Himara:
- Supabase stores your account, training, photos and clips.
- Google Firebase collects crash reports and app usage, and sends notifications.
- Google signs you in, if you choose Continue with Google.
- Cloudflare serves this website and the web version of the app.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your account and the training, photos, clips and messages attached to it. Crash reports expire on their own after a few months.
Your choices
- See and download it. In the app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Account, and tap Export my data for a copy of your data.
- Delete it. Profile, then Settings, then Account, then Delete account, removes your account for good.
- Correct it. You can edit your name, photo and training in the app.
- Ask us. For anything else, including a request under the law where you live, email himarallc@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.
Age
Himara is for people aged 16 and over. If you believe someone younger has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this page, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
